BOYER'S LANDMARK PROJECTS

IRS, Odgen UT.

Boyer is perhaps best known as the developer of several landmark mixed-use projects throughout the Intermountain Region. The Boyer Company became center stage to the world as they hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics at their open-air, mixed-use project, The Gateway, which has since become one of Utah’s premiere visitor destinations. The Gateway consists of 700,000 square feet of retail, plus more than 600,000 square feet of office space and 500 residential units.

Other landmark developments include the spectacular 24-story One Utah Center, which initiated the redevelopment of Block 57 in downtown Salt Lake City. In a newly planned 80-acre business park in Sandy, the Boyer Company also found homes for Novell, the University of Utah Extension Division, and Aetna Life Insurance. As well, The Boyer Company contributed to the creation of the University of Utah Research Park by developing corporate campuses for ARUP and Myriad Genetics.

center in the downtown area. In South Salt Lake, the company developed two buildings to initiate the city-sponsored office park adjacent to the I-80 freeway.

The Boyer Company is a partner with Ogden City in the redevelopment of Business Depot Ogden, which consists of 5.9 million square feet of existing warehouse space and over 400 acres of ground available for future development. The company has built 10 new buildings adding 1,500,000 square feet in the park to date. Two additional buildings are under construction.

The company is actively involved in retail redevelopment projects such as The Commons at Sugar House, Redstone in Park City, and the District in South Jordan.

Tegra Healthcare was created as a subsidiary of the Boyer Company to meet increasing demand in the Healthcare industry. In the past 28 years the medical team at Boyer has completed 70 medical projects totaling nearly 3,000,000 square feet of space.

“We have a sophistication level, based on the tough projects we have developed.  Look at the Gateway project for example, how many real estate developers have built a project three city blocks 40 acres 300 million dollars.”

Jake Boyer, President of The Boyer Company
