The Refinery is a 120,000-square-foot office building and is the first building to be developed within the University of Arizona's portion of The Bridges. The project is a public-private partnership with the University of Arizona. The building will include a number of University related entities that are all focused on the commercialization of University research. Additional space will be occupied by companies involved with areas supported by the University. This includes mining, technology, optics, and defense related industries.
