Frequently Asked Questions

What is construction management?

Construction management involves providing professional guidance through the building process such as construction project’s schedule, cost, quality, safety, scope, and function. A construction management company will work closely with the property owner to successfully meet the needs of the project. These services also work towards reaching the owner’s interests and goals, directly reflecting the client’s interests. Construction managers will also work with the architect, engineer, and general contractor to provide insight that brings each party together. McGraw-Hill Construction conducted research in 2013, supported by the CMAA Foundation, that showed the effectiveness of construction management. The study directly found that construction management companies saved money, avoided or mitigated problems, and produced higher quality results for owners.

What do construction management companies do?
