Real estate development projects all come with different objectives, however, most projects involve at least four important stages in order to be successful. This stage includes researching the market, selecting a site, and assessing the financial feasibility of a particular project. The design and entitlements portion of the development is the point at which we begin working with architects and engineers to design the project and obtain the necessary building permits and approvals from local and state agencies. This stage of development requires documentation and, at times, public hearings.
The construction phase involves hiring contractors and subcontractors, building the project, overseeing the construction, and managing the budget and timeline. The lease-up and management phase involves marketing and leasing the space and hiring property managers to manage the property, collect rents and handle any tenant issues once the building is complete and the building is operational.
