The Boyer Company acquired the Brickyard Shopping Center, anchored by Ernst Home Center, Lionel Play World, Mervyn's, and REI, in 1992. The arrangement of the shopping center included an uncovered mall with Mervyn's at the center point of the mall.

Boyer has re-tenanted the shopping center with the addition of OfficeMax, Roberts Crafts, Home Goods, and Ross Dress For Less. The shopping center is superbly located in a portion of the Salt Lake Valley in which there are no retail growth opportunities. This provides a very strong retail market opportunity for the Brickyard's existing anchors and small tenants.
